Sunday's Songbird ... Medicine

Folks, it's Grace Potter and the Nocturnals!

They're actually headlining at the First Flush FesTEAval today over in Charleston... at the tea plantantion. The First Flush event is 5 years strong today, and it signifies the start of another season (of tea). The "first flush" is made from the seasons first growth, which is said to have a supremely different effect on the palette. A richer, more flavorful taste. I was planning to go (tea AND great live music ... win/win!), but since that fell through, I'll just highlight them for this weeks Sunday's Songbird.

Now, in order to get as close to the experience as possible you'll need:

• a cup of your favorite tea (hot or cold)
• your laptop outside (or your desktop speakers turned WAY up and the windows open)
• a pretty tapestry (or soft blanket) thrown over the grass
• bare feet
• and possibly a hula hoop; that's a judgement call
